Locally owned and operated, Foundation Podiatry has been helping the Townsville community to lead active lifestyles now for 15 years!

We have 3 Senior Podiatrists’ who specialise in Biomechanical / Musculoskeletal Podiatry and keep a fast-paced schedule.

At Foundation Podiatry we hold our admin team in high regard, as they are the people who keep our team running smoothly.

We are looking for our next friendly face to join our team!

Previous admin/reception experience preferable
Interest and ability to manage our social media marketing (this can be taught)
Consider this position as their ‘profession’ and not just a stop-gap until the next venture arises
Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (required for health-care setting)


Duties will include:

Making appointments, billing monies, confirming appointments, managing Podiatrist’s diary using our Practice Management Software.

Dealing with Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Medicare, Private Health Fund, WorkCover, Defence and other third-party payers.

Phoning patients to follow up recalls and appointments.

Managing incoming referrals and preparing and distributing reports/communication to referring practitioners.

Managing whole Orthotic process (ordering, timely arrival, checking scripts, making appointments).

Maintaining weekly and monthly checklists; preparing KPI’s and business reports.

General duties such as clinic shopping, posting and banking.

General cleaning duties and ensuring clinic hygiene standards are met.

Assisting in the in-house orthotic lab (gluing down covers, cutting materials etc.)

Preparation and participation in team meetings, identifying inefficient administrative procedures and contributing to improving work efficiency and culture.

Managing and ordering admin and clinical stock.

Paying invoices and communicating with EzzyBill and bookkeeper.

Managing and assisting with business Social media marketing (preparing and distributing posts and videos for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Google my Business).

Adding / editing pages on our website; preparing online newsletter.


Hours Required: 

Monday 10am - 5.30pm
Tuesday 10am - 4pm
Wednesday 8.15am - 12.30pm
Thursday 10am - 6.30pm

~24.75 hour week
Casual Position with opportunity to move to Permanent Part-Time after 6 months.
Flexibility to cover other receptionists will be required at times.
If the hours do not suit or you are looking for something temporary, then this position is not for you.
